Our commitment to accessibility
Almaxpress Taxi (אלמא אקספרס מוניות; Business ID 300312121) — premium taxi, transfer and Ben Gurion Airport shuttle services based in Jerusalem and operating in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Tel Aviv and at Ben Gurion Airport — regards accessibility as a core value and a legal and moral obligation. We believe every person, including people with disabilities, is entitled to an equitable, dignified, independent and safe service, and that our website should be open and usable by everyone. We therefore invest in making our website accessible and in continuously improving it.
1. Legal framework & conformance level
This website was made accessible in accordance with Israeli accessibility law, including:
- The Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758–1998;
- The Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773–2013 — including Regulation 35 on the accessibility of internet services;
- Israeli Standard SI 5568 — "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines", based on the W3C's WCAG.
The website targets and has implemented Level AA (WCAG 2.2) — beyond the level required by law for service websites (SI 5568). Accessibility has been tested both manually and with dedicated tools, and we maintain and improve it on an ongoing basis.

2. Accessibility features on the site
Dedicated accessibility menu
A persistent accessibility button on every page opens a menu that lets you personalise the display. You can:
- increase and decrease the font size;
- enable a high-contrast mode;
- enable a grayscale display;
- highlight links for clear identification of clickable elements;
- enlarge the mouse cursor;
- switch to a readable font with increased letter and line spacing;
- reset all settings with a single click.
Your chosen preferences are saved and continue to apply across page navigation and reloads. The menu is fully operable by keyboard alone (including closing it with the Esc key).
Navigation, screen readers & display
- Full keyboard navigationThe site is designed to be operable by keyboard alone, with a clear, visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link at the top of the page. Components found lacking are fixed on an ongoing basis (see section 4).
- Screen-reader supportSemantic HTML and ARIA structure supporting common screen readers (e.g. NVDA, JAWS), with accessible names on all form fields and action buttons.
- Contrast & reduced motionImproved text-to-background colour contrast per the standard, and respect for the user's reduced-motion preference (prefers-reduced-motion).
- Language, direction & zoomFull right-to-left (RTL) support, a bilingual (Hebrew/English) site, and a responsive layout that holds up under browser zoom.
3. Fleet & in-person service accessibility
Beyond making information accessible, we make sure the ride itself suits every passenger:
- Guide dogs & service animals: a person with a visual disability is entitled, by law and without exception, to travel in any of our vehicles accompanied by a working guide dog or service dog, at no extra charge and without refusal.
- Physical assistance: our drivers are instructed to assist with boarding and alighting and with storing folding wheelchairs and medical mobility aids in the trunk — efficiently and respectfully.
- Pre-arranged accessible vehicle: a vehicle with a wheelchair lift can be arranged in advance. This service requires prior confirmation and availability due to a limited number of such vehicles. Full guide: wheelchair-accessible taxi in Israel — intercity and airport rides.
- How the service is delivered: remotely — by phone, WhatsApp and this website — and in the vehicles themselves; there is no need to visit an office. Bookings can also be made by voice call with a human agent.
4. Reservations & parts not yet fully accessible
Despite our ongoing efforts, some areas may not yet be fully accessible, or isolated components may be found not fully accessible. This includes:
- Third-party content embedded in the site and not fully under our control (e.g. embedded maps), which may not fully meet accessibility requirements as it is maintained by external providers;
- Isolated pages or components which, despite our testing, may be found not fully accessible on a case-by-case basis — including contrast and touch-target findings identified in the latest review that are being fixed.
Wherever a user encounters a component that is not accessible to them, we undertake to correct the issue as quickly as possible and, where needed, to provide an alternative accessible means of obtaining the information or service. The site is under continuous improvement.
5. Accessibility feedback & contact
Found an accessibility problem, or have a suggestion? We would be glad to hear from you and to handle your request diligently. When you contact us, please describe the nature of the problem, the page or component where you had difficulty, your browser and device, and a way to reach you back.
