Introduction and Agreement to Terms

Welcome to the Almaxpress Taxi website, operated by Almaxpress Taxi (registered as א. אקספרס הסעות, Business ID 300312121). The Hebrew Terms of Service (תקנון) are the binding version; this English text is provided for convenience. These Terms of Service outline the legal agreement between the company and the customer using the website's services. Using the website implies express and full consent to the terms detailed below. If you do not agree with any of the terms, you must cease using the site and its services immediately.

1. Nature of the Service

The company provides a digital platform for booking private transportation services, intercity taxi rides, VIP shuttles, and airport transfers.

  • Actual service delivery depends on the availability of company drivers in the requested deployment areas.
  • Submitting a booking request on the site constitutes a primary request and does not legally bind the company to fulfill the trip until an official, final confirmation (via phone or WhatsApp) is provided by the dispatcher.
  • Pictures of vehicles on the website are for illustration purposes only. The company commits to providing a clean, fully air-conditioned vehicle suitable for the ordered category, but vehicle models may vary according to availability.

2. Pricing Model, Estimates, and Payments

Fares are determined by official Ministry of Transport tariffs, route complexity, requested time (day/night tariffs, weekends, holidays), and the type of vehicle (standard taxi, large van, VIP).

Estimated Pricing

Prices shown on the site are "From" (starting-from) estimates for popular routes, based on the official taxi-meter tariff. When generating routes via the site's price calculator, the displayed amount constitutes an initial index estimate only, barring exceptions like tolls (Highway 6) or uncoordinated stops.

Payment Methods

The final confirmed amount will be communicated securely before the trip. Payment can be made to the driver in cash (ILS), secure digital clearing (credit card / Bit application), or via invoice for recognized corporate clients.

3. Cancellation Policy (Israeli Consumer Protection Law)

Cancellations must be sent in writing (WhatsApp or email) so that receipt can be documented. The policy follows the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, as adapted to transport services provided at a fixed time (same terms as the Hebrew תקנון):

Free Cancellation Window

  • Up to 24 hours before the pickup time (on business days): no cancellation fee; any prepayment is refunded in full.

Late Cancellation & "No-Show" Fees

  • !Less than 24 hours and more than 6 hours before pickup: the company may charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed total fare.
  • !Less than 6 hours before pickup, or no-show: a cancellation fee of 100% of the agreed fare, except in special emergencies recognised at management's discretion.
  • *Being more than 20 minutes late for the agreed pickup without contacting us (other than a flight delay updated in advance on airport bookings) counts as a no-show.

4. Company Liability & Limitations

Platform Status as an Intermediary Broker: It is expressly clarified that Almaxpress (the operator of this website) functions exclusively as a technological platform and an intermediary booking agent, coordinating transportation between passengers and actual service providers (legally licensed independent taxi drivers, official transportation companies, and authorized sub-contractors). The Company's responsibility is strictly limited to receiving the reservation, processing prepaid transactions (if applicable), and facilitating the connection between the client and the executing driver.

Although the Company makes extensive efforts, conducts thorough screening, and strives to associate only with reliable, professional, and service-oriented drivers—neither the Company, its management, nor its employees shall bear any direct, indirect, or vicarious legal liability concerning the physical nature of the ride itself, the manner of driving, and/or any damages, losses, or malfunctions caused to the passenger or their property during the service provided by these independent contractors on the ground. Any substantive tort claim regarding the operation of the vehicle must be directed primarily toward the operating driver. Nevertheless, the Company is committed to assisting, listening, and acting to the best of its ability vis-à-vis the drivers to ensure the passenger's legitimate rights are upheld and complaints are resolved satisfactorily.

The company and the drivers bear responsibility for providing a roadworthy, legally licensed, and properly insured public transit vehicle. However, the company cannot commit to supernatural absolute punctuality resulting from Force Majeure events.

We are unequivocally exempt from indirect property or consequential damages (such as missed flights, delayed meetings, or indirect client losses) caused by unforeseeable operational delays, exceptional traffic jams (heavy accidents, unplanned roadblocks), acts of belligerency, severe weather, or sudden mechanical breakdowns. In such events, the company commits to providing an immediate alternative vehicle, or refunding the customer completely in case of cancellation on part of the provider.

5. Passenger Obligations and Proper Conduct

  • Smoking within the vehicle is heavily prohibited according to the law preventing smoking in public places. The driver may immediately terminate the trip if the passenger refuses to respect this legislation.
  • Transportation of irregular items (hazardous materials, exceptionally large cargo not coordinated in advance) is forbidden unless cleared and officially priced by the dispatcher.
  • The passenger is solely responsible for verifying that all their belongings were collected at the end of the trip. The company will make an effort to safeguard found items, but bears no legal liability for lost valuables in the vehicles.

6. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

The terms described above are exclusively governed by the substantive law of the State of Israel. Any dispute, interpretation discrepancy, or legal claim deriving from the use of the website or the physical services will be resolved solely within the authorized courts located in the Jerusalem District.
